Since the devastating earthquake in Christchurch in February 2011, the good guys at digital agency NV Interactive have been working with the New Zealand Ministry of Culture and Heritage to help people share their personal earthquake experiences online with a website project called Quake Stories. As well as helping people come to terms with the devastating events of that day, the project will be an incredibly valuable resource for future historians.
Image Workshop was asked to capture PR images of Tim McConnell and Gus Pickering who have been heading up the project for NV Interactive.
As often happens with media, this was a last-minute story and so Sharon sped down to NV’s office with only a two-hour window to shoot, post-pro and deliver a selection of images to accompany the story.
Luckily Tim and Gus are two of the most accommodating fellows you’ll ever meet, and were happy to go where they were told and pose for the camera. Sharon shot two setups (lit with the ever-handy pocketable SB26’s) and emailed the final finished selects through with time to spare.
