Old Tech New Decks
Old Tech New Decks is a show about creating new music using old technology and made its debut at the Melbourne Fringe Festival. Australian composers Vanessa Nimmo and Matt Rankin weave together clacking typewriters, bleeping DOS games, and melodious Nokia ringtones into an intriguing and unique aural experience.
Image Workshop took created this teaser ad to promote the show, including concept creation, development and production. We had a great time weaving show details into the technology pieces, especially the Commodore 64 screen. #nostalgia

RAAF Worimi Hornet Unveiling
The Royal Australian Air Force Worimi F/A-18A Hornet aircraft was unveiled at the Australian International Airshow at Avalon, demonstrating the Air Force’s commitment to Indigenous men and women who have served, and continue to serve, in the Australian Defence Force.
Image Workshop was engaged to create a short motion piece documenting the unveiling and to showcase the involvement by Australian design studio Balarinji in creating the artwork on the Worimi Hornet.
Old tech cello – Prop build BTS
A behind the scenes look at a prop build for a photo shoot. The prop was built to create promo images for a music show based on creating new music from old technology. Image Workshop created the concept of building a cello out of old technology to visually convey the idea of old technology being used in an unconventional way to create music.
